About

Hello, and welcome to Water Matcher, your source for everything you need to know about how to make the most of the H2O you consume.

It’s easy to take clean water for granted. After all, for most of the developed world, it seems like we have an unlimited supply running straight out of a tap in our kitchens. But the fact is, there are many places in the world where people struggle to find clean water.

Water Matcher was started and is run by a team of people who understand the value of clean water and have a deep and abiding love and concern for people who don’t have what many people take for granted. We believe clean water is a basic human right.

Even for those of us who are fortunate enough to be born into countries where clean water flows from the taps in our homes, making the best of the water we drink is important. In today’s world, we don’t always know what’s in our water. We assume that the sources that provide us with water follow superior standards, but too often, news reports show us otherwise.

Here at Water Matcher, it’s our mission to help people find the best affordable filtration systems and water softeners to ensure clean they’re doing their best to provide pure clean water for their families. Whether it’s through water purification tablets, water filter pitchers, the best water carrying containers and bottles, or the best water purifier, we’ll help you find it.

Whether you’re just starting to explore the world of water softeners and water filtration systems or you’re a seasoned expert on the topic, we think you’ll find valuable information here at Water Matcher. We love hearing from our readers. If you have suggestions or specific systems you’d like to see reviewed, drop us a line in the comment sections of one of our articles or via an email to our team.

We welcome to our site and our community and we hope you find our resources helpful! We’d love to hear from you, whether that’s in a comment on one of our posts or a private message to our team.

Meet the Team

Chief Editor – Ward Hammond

My path to being a professional writer and editor isn’t your typical path. I actually started my career working with data, not words.

I became interested in computers in high school and got my college degree in computer engineering. When I was working at a small tech company that provided computer solutions to low-income people, I had to pitch in and write some content for their website. People started telling me I was a good writer and editor, and I surprised no one more than I surprised myself. To make a long story short, I was hooked.

The transition from tech nerd to word nerd has been a rewarding and fun experience. Contact me at whammond@watermatcher.com

Junior Editor – Anastasia Carey

When I went to college, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing. I was fascinated with the art of writing technical communication in a way that readers can understand. There’s nothing better than knowing that I’ve broken down important information for people who are trying to live better lives.

After college, I went to work for a textbook company, and after a few years, I joined the team here at Water Matcher.

I’m a humanitarian at heart and am passionate about my health, so writing and editing content about how to help the world drink better water is very rewarding to me. If you have any questions contact me at  acarey@watermatcher.com

Water Filtration Expert – Liza Chandler

Even when I was a kid, I was fascinated by the tiny creatures that crawl around in water. I’ll never forget the first time I looked under a microscope at a drop of ocean water. It was both terrifying and fascinating, and I knew I wanted to know as much about this as possible.

I got my degree in biology and went to work for a company that makes refrigerators. I was the specialist who made sure the water filters the company made were premium quality. That ice maker in your refrigerator and the water filter that water passes through to get there has a lot of years of technology behind it.

At Water Matcher, we’re here to inform the public about how important the issue of water softening and filtering can be.
