Overall, the Mavea Elemaris XL is an excellent water filter pitcher. It gets really good reviews from users. The biggest complaints about the pitcher most often are due to not reading and following the instructions provided by the manufacturer. Some people had issues with the handle breaking or cracks forming that allowed water to leak, which is largely an issue with the plastic used to make the pitcher and how it reacts to the temperature changes when stored in the refrigerator. Avoid this easily by keeping the pitcher on the counter. Beyond that, this pitcher is said to be very easy to use and has a great design that eliminates common issues, such as difficulty pouring or filling.
